An Invitation to Dinner

An Invitation to Dinner

Chapter VIII

I feel that with this design I hit a break through, this room had me in awe to where even I myself wanted to sit and stare at this room, this was the first of a few that had left me proud of my own work. This is not me being conceited or sure of myself, this is me constantly questioning how I can do things better or judging my own work as simply mediocre, despite all the praise I have received for past builds. It just seemed that everything that I did here simply just "fit" together. I had redone this dining room after I had tore out walls and re built portions of the Loft Casolare house, you can refer to the living room in the post "Home is where MY Heart is".
All of these items are used throughout in following posts below so I won't repost all the URL's, simply just wanted to show off the pic.
I hope you are drooling too!

Nuances of White

Nuances of White

Chapter VII

I am not really sure why I decided to use all white for this build, originally I started with white and was going to color everything but with the marble, I decided to keep everything white. This was a spectacular build in which my hubby built a semi rounded staircase. We both wanted the new Abiss apartment but without the hefty price tag they like to put on their builds, we would have totally considered it however this build was for an RP sim. The marble stairs had to be my most favorite thing about this apartment. I feel that they lend the perfect amount of class. Of course walking on marble in heels.. not practical.. yes yes I know, this is sl but I do take these things into consideration when I build believe it or not.. I like making things seem as they were something you might see in rl.. of course that's all within reason, there is only so much available furniture and so many styles to chose from. For this build I have paired Apple Fall MudhoneyThe Loft. Bazar (sl URL doesn't exist, check items on MP), Trompe Loeil. and, .:: ONE GRID ::.
Hallway
Chandelier- One Grid
Impala Head - One Grid
Side Table - Apple Fall (Gacha Item)
White screen- The Loft

Pure Opulence

Pure Opulence

Chapter VI

So I think that I need to point out that I love everything that Colleen Desmoulins creates, her textures are excellent and the mesh is low prim, who can argue with that? The lower the prims the more you can fit in, is what I like to say. Nearly all items in this are from her collections, The store is none other but The Loft.
This includes the sofa tables, the sofas themselves, the bowl of pillows, the books, the vases.
The fireplace is the AF (Apple Fall) Stature Fireplace RARE- from the last round of the Arcade Gacha. I have to say being a designer I love the creators that make items for the home, not only are they low prim and mesh.. but they are low prim and mesh!
The coffee table, side tables, crapet and wall art are from Atelier Viscont and I think that the marble textures on the tops of these tables are unbeatable! I think there is a lot of exciting things coming from this excellent creator!
Chandeliers, candles and the peacock that adorns the fireplace is all from Mudhoney.
Fireplace screen is from Trompe Loeil.
Impala Head from .:: ONE GRID ::.
and finally last but not least, the Lamps from 22769 ~ [bauwerk], which were recently included in the Home and Garden show.
The house is the Roost New Port House, which, as previously exclaimed, I do like an open floor plan, well there is a catch to that, open floor plans can never have four blank walls in order to furnish them properly, so I built a few walls and enclosed the kitchen space just a tiny bit, it made this house look homier. Also the second floor seemed to have no supports, which I just cannot fathom a house that isn't designed architecturally sound so I added some mesh pillars which helped seperate the two spaces and create a walkway between the living dining and kitchen.. My friends say I am a genius.. I think all it takes is an eye.. What do you think?
As always!

Not your Grandma's house!

Not your Grandma's house!

Chapter V

So I was not really sure what to call this post, but seeing as how some people might view this as "old ladyish" I really wanted to state that it really isnt. This style is in my belief a modern view of what antiquity tryly should look like. These overstuffed sofa's you would have never seen in any era. not this style anyway. The gold on the walls add the perfect hint of the feel of a smoke room, but very warm and inviting.
So the story goes, My hubby and I were living in an rp sim and bought a ton of prims to use in the sim, sort of a status to the ways of life of a major crime boss living in the city. With that there was still a major limit on prim usage.
Thanks to Vendelo. I was able to decorate this apartment with the allotted prims allowed... I cannot tell you exactly how many prims it was as together with the bar we built we had about 500 total allowed prims, and the restaurant had the majority. I think about 400+ to be honest. So the home had to be meager in prim usage. all the furniture you see is from Vendelo with exception of the fireplace, and the chandelier. The Fireplace you can currently find at the Home and garden show 2014, but hurry before time is up! All of the walls and floors were built by myself and textured by me as well.
I hope you enjoy this build as much as I enjoyed living in this little apartment!

You and me and the baby makes... four???

You and me and the baby makes... four???

Chapter IV

So as previously stated in the "Home is where MY Heart is" post, making room for babies. I had to deep the pocket space to make this room bigger for my babies. Yes I said babies.. we are expecting twins!
All items you see for the bedding and stands down to the rug are from apple fall. They are not compatible with any of the sl babies, but they are low prim and beautifully crafted!
The mobile is simply amazing and I love them. The room on the right with the crib is a different room including a few of past gacha's. I don't think you can even get them anymore, so why mention them?
If you have any questions feel free to contact me on the whereabouts of any items pictured.

Home is where MY Heart is

Home is where the MY is

Chapter III

This was my favorite living room that I decorated for myself and my sl hubby. I was attempting to make more room for the twins I am carrying in SL. My husband and I had resided in the Loft Casolare home, I had already torn out walls to create a TV room and a more open floor plan. I am sorry I keep doing this butt if you could understand my slclaustrophobia and feer of slheights.. you would maybe understand why I have to do this. Originally I had left the living room the way it was but.. with babies...This is what happens when I nest.
The Sofa is the Roxy Sectional from the loft.
The ottoman side chair, side console and the floral chairs to the right are all from the Loft.
The Rug is made by Mudhoney
Lamps by TrrompeLoeil
The various nick-nacks and frames are all from the Loft and Mudhoney.
In the distance you can see the Bazar Toronto Kitchen.
Happy Decorating

Inspired Melodies

Chapter II

My Bestie Sis Inspire Mee, Inspired Mee to make this build what it became. Of course I had to tear out walls in this build as well (another Scarlet creative home) in order to make the arches fit in as she had originally requested. A few textures, and viola. This house turned out even more beautiful than i ever thought i could have imagined designing. I owe a big thank you to my sis for her inspiration.

The Sofa and main focal point is from Mudhoney. The Sydney Sofa Collection.
I would have never thought to buy this sofa, but she desperately wanted it and to incorporate it into her new home. I am glad her eye grabbed it as this room would not have looked so good with any other color.

The coffee table and chairs are from Trompe Loeil- the Oceania Collection
The Rug I personally made as it was the style in which she was seeking (seen from another blog)
Lamps are from the Pilot Murrow Table. I love that these lamps actually have the electrical extension.
The side tables again are from the Deconstructed set by CheekyPea
The table at far is from ~Bazar~ The Arizona Living room
Dining Room all made as well by ~Bazar~ Arizona Dining set.
The Frames deer head and side cabinet are from Apple Fall
The lamps and screens by the fireplace are from Trompe Loeil as well as the tree inlay cabinet
The fireplace itself is from ::OneGrid::

I hope you love this room as much as I did decorating it
